About

Half Moon Bay, CA · est. 1980-something

I spent years building big things, obsessed with moving fast — Facebook, NASA. Eventually I started asking what all that speed was in service of.

This page is about something else. I write, make films of my family's travels, keep bees, raise chickens, surf. The work here is about noticing — slowly, honestly, on purpose.

I've been a produced playwright and screenwriter for over a decade. Before that I spent time at NASA helping build the commercial space market, and at early Facebook running hardware prototyping at Area 404 and leading Global New Hire Orientation. I left to build something slower and more mine.

I founded Common Moment in 2024 — an indie TV and film studio built around the idea that compounded IP ownership is the core value driver in independent entertainment, and that stories help people feel less alone.

I live in Half Moon Bay with my family. The bees are patient teachers. The chickens are not.
